Very nice & solid design with rubber for thumb & pinky, a usb thimble that's well concealed when plugged in, clicking is surprisingly quiet, scrolling wheel is butter-smooth without clicks (a turn-off for some people). I almost gave up on wireless Microsoft mice until I got this one. I don't why anybody would save a few bucks and get a 3000 or 1000 when 4000 is maybe a couple bucks more?

The plastic wheel still protrudes perfectly to use without the rubber. You have to simply cut the rubber perpendicular and then pull the length out of the mouse and you are left with a mouse wheel without rubber, but still very easy to use. the rubber on the mouse wheel starts to make it hard to turn the wheel or starts to come off the wheel if I remember correctly, like the glue was giving up.
